Anker's SoundCore Frames play music to your ears through glasses

Anker SoundCore Frames

The latest offering by Anker, the widely-known accessories manufacturer, is an audio eyewear product called SoundCore Frames. The device joins the firm's extensive list of products that will be available in the US, UK, Europe, and Canada through official partners like Amazon, Best Buy, and official retail outlets.

The reason behind the introduction of the SoundCore Frames is to provide uninterrupted audio listening access to users for immersive listening experience on-the-go. When put on and paired, users have access through Bluetooth to media libraries stored in their smartphones, which they can play and listen to hands-free.

In one word, users have access to music without having to rely on weightier heavier devices like headsets. There are only few eyewear products in the market and the firm's new addition offers several options for maximum flexibility. As at launch, ten different frames are available to chose from - these use pull and plug release system so that users can change the frames without causing damage.

The frames are interchangeable and are available in different configurations depending on user's preference - in different sizes, shapes and styles, not excluding tinted sunglasses, prescription and blue-light filtering options. The SoundCore Frames have noise reducing microphones that lower ambient noise and surrounding noise. There is also a private listening mode that will reduce audio leakage when making calls.

Soundcore Frames features

The sound quality is expected to be superb - thanks to its patented OpenSurround system with custom DSP that helps the sound hushed out through the speakers to be stereo wide and immersive. Moreover, the glasses can auto detect when put on and when pull off, and will automatically pause audio when removed from the eye.

There are touch controls to pause and play music, and it also supports voice control. Users can swipe to lower or increase the volume, change tracks, and to answer phone calls. Its battery lasts up to 5.5 hours when fully charged, and 10 minutes of charge can deliver 1.5 hours of audio playback.

Sales will begin in November with the price set at US$199.99 in the U.S, £149.99 in the UK, €179.99 in Europe, and CA$249 in Canada. Interchangeable frames will be sold separately on soundcore website for US$49.99 (£49.99 / €49.99 / CA$59.99).
