HONOR Play5 Vitality Edition goes official with Dimensity 900U, 5G supports

Honor Play5 Vitality Edition

Huawei's HONOR brand has launched Play5 Vitality Edition smartphone with 5G supports in China. The device packed the powerful Dimensity 900U chipset and is offered in 8GB RAM version only, although you are given the option to chose between 128GB or 256GB storage. There is no microSD support but a dual SIM slot is provided to compensate for that.

The smartphone is quite big; it features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display that is LCD, and has 120Hz refresh rate that gamers will appreciate for. There is no screen protection, and there is no HDR support. As one would expect these days, Android 11 takes charge of the software with Magic UI 4.2 laid on top for optimization.

In optics, you get a 64-megapixel (f/1.9) main cam at the rear alongside with 8-megapixel (f/2.4) ultra-wide lens and 2-megapixel (f/2.4) depth sensor - these are accompanied by a single LED flash for low-light shots.

At the front sits a 16-megapixel camera for selfie. The Play5 Vitality Edition relied on a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, although it also has a 2D face unlock if fingerprint login is not your thing.

You'll find the usual connectivity in place, including Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi 802.11ac dual band, Dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, and USB Type-C. The battery included is rated at 4300mAh, and you can charge with the 66W charger provided in the box.
