OnePlus has unveiled its next line-up under its "9" series at an event it hosted in China. The new 9RT is a more superior version of the 9R with an upgraded processor, a more sophisticated design, and better cameras. For the first time, the smartphone touts a 600Hz touch sampling rate on its 6.62-inch E4 AMOLED screen. The 9RT tick the first OnePlus to have such a high touch sampling rate.

Moreover, the display covers the whole DCI-P3 color gamut and offers great brightness. The screen 120Hz refresh rate makes sure that users have butter-smooth graphics experience. Inside is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile chipset, which is significantly better compared to Snapdragon 870 on 9R, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. A custom cooling system is installed to keep the CPU temperature low during intensive workload.

In photography, the OnePlus 9RT housed a 50MP camera with Sony sensor at the rear alongside with secondary 16MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro cameras, while a 16MP camera resides at the front. Let's go back to the RAM a bit, although the RAM is maxed at 12GB for the premium version, users have an option under the phone settings to add up to 7GB of virtual RAM to the system, which is taking from the phone storage space.

The chipset that powered the phone brings 5G SA/NSA to the table, and at the back are three antennas for network. OnePlus revealed that one of the antennas is dedicated for WiFi reception for fast stable connection. Power comes from a 4,500mAh inbuilt battery with supports for 65W fast charging - this can fill it up from 0% to 50% within 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, the device lacked a 3.5mm audio jack.
