OPPO A54s goes official in Europe and in the UK

OPPO A54s

The OPPO A54s gets released today in the UK as the firm's UK section listed it on its website. The smartphone brings entry-level specs but with noteworthy features that will be of interest to some buyers.

Foremost, it features a 6.52-inch LCD screen that only refreshes at 60Hz, and you also get a rather underwhelming HD+ resolution. The display has a waterdrop notch where you will find an 8-megapixel camera for taking selfie.

Under the hood, we have Mediatek's budget Helio G35 running the show, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Thankfully, you can further expand the limited storage if you so much desire it via a microSD slot that is provided. You will also find a dual SIM slot where you will be able to insert your two SIM cards.

For photography, there is a 50MP camera at the rear that is ready to take all your shots, accompanied by 2MP macro camera for close-up shots and 2MP depth camera for portraits. Although the 50MP is quite interesting on paper, you'll only be able to record Full HD (1080p) videos with it.

Since the OPPO A54s is packing a budget processor, you won't get 5G, but there is 4G VoLTE to cater to your internet needs. Other connectivity you can expect are WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack for wired audio.

Battery included is 5,000mAh, and it can be quickly charged using the Super VOOC fast charger bundled in the box. The phone is IPX4 rated, so it can withstand splashes of water. It measure 8.4mm at its thickest point and weigh 190 grams.

The UK price of the A54s has not been revealed, however, it was sported listed on Amazon Italy for €229.99 with its release date scheduled for November 13th. Blue and Black are the only color options.
