Xiaomi has introduced a new fitness band called Redmi Smart Band Pro, which have 1.47-inch 2.5D curved AMOLED touchscreen with 194x368 pixel resolution and 282PPI pixel density. The display can reach a brightness of up to 450 nits, and it fully cover the NTSC color space. There is no mention of any screen protector in case you are wondering.

The band is jam packed with a whole load of fitness features such as 24-hours heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, while it can track more than 110 indoor and outdoor exercises. It can auto detect some of these exercises such as outdoor running and walking and start taking measurement on the user's wrist.

In addition, the Smart Band Pro can track sleep and quality of sleep, and it can also monitor the stress level of the wearer. We think it is necessary to let you know that the device can track swimming too. As a matter of fact, its 5ATM rating enables it to be used in up to 50 meters deep of water. There are various sensors onboard that do the tracking - 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, light sensor, and PPG heart rate sensor.

Users can pair the wrist band with smartphone running either Android 6.0+ or iOS 10+ via Bluetooth 5. Once paired, they will be able to do some other things like change the band face (more than 50 faces are available as at launch), receive notifications and alerts, control music, set do not disturb, update weather forecast, and more. Women can track their menstrual cycle too.

The Redmi Smart Band Pro also let users receive incoming call alert, although they will not be able to receive the call on their wrist as there are no microphone and speaker on the band itself. Breath Exercise, stopwatch, countdown timer, find my phone, and idle alerts are some of the features that the device offered as well.

When fully charged, the Smart Band Pro can deliver up to 14 days of battery life in normal use, or 20 days when power saving mode is turned on. It comes in Black color only and will be available in the coming weeks. No details about its pricing yet.

Earlier this week, the firm launched Redmi Watch 2, which is a budget smartwatch that can track almost any fitness and exercises, including SpO2 and heart rate. It has four inbuilt global navigation systems that makes its outdoor tracking accurate. Moreover, it is 5ATM rated and can be used for swimming. It only cost $63.
