Redmi Watch 2 is a $63 smartwatch with GPS and 5ATM

The new Note 11 series were not the only device that Xiaomi unveiled at the special event it hosted in China - the firm also announced the Redmi Watch 2. This is a budget smartwatch that have nearly everything that you can expect from a fitness watch.

It can track more than 117 different sports including swimming, and there are four inbuilt satellite navigation systems onboard (GPS/GLONASS/Beidou/Galileo) that ensure that all outdoor tracking are accurate.

The Redmi Watch 2 can track swimming because it is 5ATM certified and will survive when submerge in up to 50 meters deep of water. In look, it features a 1.6-inch rectangular display that used AMOLED for backlighting.

The display has a pixel resolution of 320x360 and a 63.7% screen-to-body ratio. There are more than 100 watch faces (dials) available to customize the look of the watch. It would be good to know that the device also supports AOD (always-on display), which can also be customized.

Moving on, apart from activities tracking, the smartwatch can also monitor the heart rate of the wearer. There are sleep monitoring and SpO2 (blood oxygen level) monitoring too in case you wondering if the features are available. All of these specs and features resides in a body that weigh just 31 grams.

The Redmi Watch 2 can be paired with a smartphone (either Android or iOS), and when paired you can receive notifications on your wrist. No speaker or mic, so you won't be able to make/receive calls.  When fully charged, it can deliver up to 12 days of battery life. A magnetic charger is provided in the box to quickly juice up the battery.
