Mobvoi's new TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra smartwatch can make calls and play music

TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra

Mobvoi has upgraded its TicWatch line-up with the introduction of TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, which is an improved all round wearable device with a circular 1.4-inch (454 x 454 pixel) AMOLED screen. It takes the dual display setup from the "non ultra" version, featuring a secondary FSTN LCD that uses minimal power to put essential information on the screen.

The FSTN LCD can be customized to show in eighteen different colors while beaming necessary data such as time, date, calorie counts, steps, and workout stats on the screen. The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra design is slightly different TicWatch Pro 3, although most of the specs remain quite the same.

The smartwatch have optical heart rate sensor for 24/7 heart rate monitoring and it can also measure blood oxygen levels (SpO2) using a dedicated sensor. Speaking of sensors, it have gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer, barometric pressure, geomagnetic, and ambient light. These helped the watch to record more than 20 workouts including walking, outdoor running, cycling, swimming, and yoga.

The accompanied built-in GPS with supports of GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, and QZSS makes sure that stats are accurate when doing exercises. The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra does not cater to fitness tracking alone but can also be used to make and receive phone calls when paired with a smartphone, or listen to music via its inbuilt speaker. There is an LTE variant with eSIM supports as well if you'll rather use it as standalone.

Noting much has changed in software as the device still runs Wear OS 2.0 just like others in the series. It can be used when fully submerged in water and will even take the heart beat reading of the wearer when underwater - thanks to its IP68 water resistant certification. The watch is also MIL-STD-810G certified, meaning it can survive drop and rugged use.

Other fitness it can monitor are sleep and irregular heart beats. Technically, it is powered by a Snapdragon 4100 Wear Platform that is coupled with Mobvoi's proprietary low-power processor. Its RAM and storage are 1GB and 8GB, respectively, while it is powered by a 577mAh battery that can give 72 hours of usage in smart mode and 45 days of usage in essential mode.

The wearable measures 47 x 48 x 12.3mm and weighs 41 grams. Its strap is silicon and it is interchangeable with any 22mm watch strap, although the LTE variant uses leather instead of silicon.

The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra is listed on Mobvoi's website with a price of $299.99 USD (€299.99 / £289.99). It is already available for sale in Shadow Black color only. The LTE variant costs €359.99 (£329.99) and will go on sale in November.
