Vivo Y71T with 5G launches with AMOLED screen, 64MP dual rear cameras

Vivo Y71T front and back

The Y71T is Vivo newest smartphone that is just announced in China, making it the fourth smartphone that the company will released this week after unveiling T1 and T1x, and S10e. The device is mid-end in all ramifications - it features a 6.44-inch AMOLED screen that touts Full HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio.

The display only refreshes at 60Hz but it is clear and sharp - thanks to its 98% DCI-P3 color coverage. No glass protection in case you are wondering. Driving the hardware is a Dimensity 810 octa-core chipset that is 5G compatible, paired with 8GB of RAM and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Storage is offered in both 128GB and 256GB configuration (UFS 2.1).

For photography, you get a 64MP main camera and a secondary 8MP ultra-wide camera at the rear, while another 16MP camera sits at the front. The rear cameras have LED flash while the one at the front does not. Moreover, the cameras are only capable of recording 1080p videos.

The Vivo Y71T boots Android 11 based OriginOS 1.0 out-of-the-box, which brings the ability to add 4GB of virtual RAM under settings. The phone fully supports 5G (both SA and NSA) alongside with other connectivity such as Bluetooth 5, WiFi 802.11ac (dual band), dual 4G VoLTE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.

It measures 7.67mm at its thinnest point and weigh just 166.3 grams. Power is supplied by a 4,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. According to Vivo, 30 minutes of charge can charge the battery from 0% to 70%.

The Y71T will be available for CN¥1800 (US$280) for the 128GB storage version, and CN¥2000 (US$310) for the 256GB storage version. Sales will begin in China next month.
