moto watch 100 with 50ATM, SpO2 and GPS announced, costs $99.99

moto watch 100

As expected, the moto watch 100 was unclad today. The smartwatch is the latest that the firm has released after two years of complete silence in the product line-up. This is a basic smartwatch that is made to cater to the low segment of the market. However, it brings a lot of good features that make it worth every penny despite its cheap price tag.

Unlike other several smartwatches available in the market that used OLED, the moto watch 100 opted for the cheaper LCD display. Surprisingly, the despite being LCD, the screen supports always-on functionality (yes, you read that right). Anyway, the display is circular and it is 1.3-inch in size. The firm did not reveal any information pertaining to its screen resolution, so we'll have to skip that.

There are also accelerometer, gyroscope, and Bluetooth 5.0 LE onboard. The later let users pair the smartwatch with supported smartphones to receive alerts and notifications. According to the firm, the moto watch 100 can track 26 different sports, including basketball, football, hiking, snowboarding, crossfit, cricket, and strength training.

The device earned 50ATM certification, so it can be used while swimming or up to 50 metres deep under water. The 355mAh battery included is claimed to last 14 days in a single charge, and can be fully charged from 0% to 100% within 60 minutes. It weigh 45.8 grams and has a body measurement of 42 x 46 x 11.9mm.

The moto watch 100 comes in Phantom Black and Glacier Silver colors, although there are variety of strap colors available to chose from. It is officially available for pre-orders in the United States for US$99.99. Shipping will start by December 10th.
