OPPO A55s 5G with IP68 waterproof unveiled in Japan

The latest phone from OPPO is A55s 5G, and it seem to be a region-specific device as it was launched in Japan today. At the helm is the Snapdragon 480 running the show, which is a 5G-capable chipset, hence its support of 5G.

In addition, the A55s 5G has IP68 waterproof and dustproof certification and can be submerge in up to 1.5 meters deep of water for 30 minutes. It comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display that have 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.

Accompanying the chipset are 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be further expanded via microSD slot. The device also have dual SIM slot with dual standby feature.

In optics, there is a 13-megapixel camera at the back alongside with a 2-megapixel depth camera, while an 8-megapixel camera sits at the front for taking selfie. Android 11 based ColorOS 11 govern all software activities, and there is a fingerprint sensor embedded under the power button for biometric security.

In connectivity, the OPPO A55s 5G supports WiFi 802.11ac (dual band), Bluetooth 5, Dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C. Moreover, it has an FM radio pre-installed. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery.
