Samsung Galaxy A03 with 48MP dual camera and 5000mAh battery unveiled

Samsung Galaxy A03

Samsung has unveiled Galaxy A03, its latest entry-level smartphone for the consumer market. This is the third iteration in the series and it differs a bit from its predecessors. Its first notable feature is its 48-megapixel rear snapper, which is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth camera.

As basic as the smartphone is, Samsung found it worthy to include a high-end camera sensor - this says a lot. A LED flash is also mounted beside the cameras for low-light capture. Apart from the cameras, there is nothing else at the back.

The Galaxy A03 has a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V LCD display that refreshes at 60Hz, and under the hood is an unspecified octa-core chipset clocked at 1.6GHz. The RAM is offered in 3GB and 4GB, coupled with up to 128GB storage. Dedicated dual SIM slot with Dual 4G VoLTE supports is present, and a microSD slot is also available to further expand the storage.

The smartphone does not have a fingerprint sensor but there is 2D face unlock under the security settings which make use of the 5MP selfie camera tucked inside the display notch. It has a 3.5mm audio jack and also supports Dolby Atmos for immersive listening experience. Power is supplied by a 5,000mAh battery.
