Micromax IN Note 2 officially announced, packs MediaTek chipset and 30W charger

Micromax on Tuesday introduce a new smartphone in India called IN Note 2. The device is the company's latest 4G smartphone that is aim to cater to the low-end segment of the market. It has a plastic build that is a bit hefty at 205 grams, although it is not that thick considering its 8.34mm body thickness.

It features a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The display has a peak brightness of 550 nits, but only refreshes at 60Hz. Beneath the surface is a MediaTek Helio G95 12nm octa-core chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The storage can be expanded via a microSD slot that is provided, which is the same slot that is made to accommodate dual SIM cards. At the rear are quad cameras led by a 48MP sensor, followed by a 5MP ultra-wide angle lens, and then 2MP depth and 2MP macro cameras. A 16MP camera exist at the front inside the punch-hole for selfie and video call.

The Micromax IN Note 2 runs Android 11 that is bloatware-free out-of-the-box, and there is Android 12 update promise in the coming weeks. It have side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack, and is fuelled by a 5000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. Micromax claimed 0% to 50% in 25 minutes.
