India woke up this morning with the official announcement of the arrival of the moto G71 5G on its shores, after few weeks of its unveiling in China. The smartphone will be up for purchase on India most popular e-Store, Flipkart, from January 19th.

As at the moment, we have no information pertaining to its availability in other stores in the region.

The moto g71 5G is a mid-end smartphone that brings 5G support through its Snapdragon 695 6nm mobile chipset that is paired with Adreno 619L GPU. The processor runs at a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz, and also included alongside it are 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

The RAM can be expanded virtually under the phone settings to 8GB, while there is a microSD slot provided to expand the storage up to 512GB as well. At the front is a crisp 6.43-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2400x1080) resolution, 700 nits brightness, and 20:9 aspect ratio. Unfortunately, the display does not refresh above 60Hz and there is no mention of any screen protection. Above the display is a tiny hole that housed a 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera.

Moving on, at the back of the moto g71 5G you'll find triple cameras - the main (or primary) has a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. This is followed by an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. At the side of these cameras is a LED flash, while a fingerprint sensor with moto logo is placed slightly below.

The phone boots Android 11 out-of-the-box with near-stock experience. Motorola promise Android 12 OTA update in the coming months, but does not reveal if the device will be eligible for Android 13. The moto G71 5G have dedicated dual SIM slot, bottom-firing speakers with Dolby Atmos enhancement, and dual microphones.
