Moto Tab G70 official specs and pricing expose as it launches in Brazil

Moto Tab G70

Update (18 January, 2022)

The Moto Tab G70 has been released in India after it made its first appearance in Brazil last week. It comes in a single 4GB/64GB version that is priced at INR 21,999. Pre-orders begin today, while sales will commence in the coming days.

Lenovo is a common name in the tablet market, but soon Motorola may be. We must not forget that both brands are owned by the same company. The Moto Tab G70 is the firm's latest Android tablet that has just hit the market, not globally, but in Brazil. There have been rumors about it, but now all doubts have been cleared as the official specs-sheet and pricing comes into limelight.

The new Android slate runs Android 11 OS, and we expect at least one major OS upgrade to make it to the device before it retires. It is large enough, measuring 258.4 x 163 x 7.5 mm, and a bit heavy at 490 grams. This is mainly due to the large 7700mAh battery capacity it packed behind. We can't blame its battery without blaming its screen also, which is quite large as well.

The Moto Tab G70 features an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with 2000x1200 pixel resolution and 400 nits brightness, with the aspect ratio pegged at 5:3. Powering the slate is a MediaTek Helio G90T 12nm octa-core chipset, bundled with Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. The built-in RAM and storage are 4GB and 64GB, but the later can be expanded via microSD card.

At the back is a single 13-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, while another 8MP camera is mounted at the top bezel above the display for video calling and selfie. These cameras can shoot 1080p videos but nothing more. Quad stereo speakers are mounted to the sides of the device with Dolby Atmos for immersive listening experience, and there is a 3.5mm audio jack in case you want to go solo.

The options provided for connectivity are Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual band), 4G LTE (doesn't support voice calling) GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C (2.0). The back and the frame of the Moto Tab G70 are made of aluminum alloy for premium feel. It comes in a single color option, Modernist Teal.

Brazilians will be able to purchase one at select retail stores for BRL 2,399 (US$433). The tablet is also hinted to launch in India next week. We'll let you know when it does.
