OnePlus 10 Pro becomes official: all you need to know

OnePlus 10 Pro

The smartphone we have all been waiting is finally here! Say hello to the OnePlus 10 Pro, the firm's first flagship that will be opening the year 2022. After several teasers, we now get the chance to know the in and out of the device as revealed by the firm at its launching event.

First and foremost, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which does not surprise us, seeing that other brands have been taking the same route in the past few weeks. We can expect more device powered by the chipset to launch as we progress into 2022.

The external (liquid cooling) and internal optimizations that OnePlus have applied to cool the chipset during intense load are claimed to be efficient and effective enough sustain its new feature called "HyperBoost". The HyperBoost maximize the processor to run at the highest speed during gaming so that users can enjoy lag-free gaming experience.

There are tools available for tuning the processor under HyperBoost to get the best out of the phone as well. Moving on, the OnePlus 10 Pro features a 6.7-inch QHD+ curved AMOLED display with LTPO 2.0 that fluently work to make the display refresh between 1Hz and 120Hz.

The peak brightness it can attain is 1300 nits, which is sufficient enough under direct sunlight. At the left corner side above the display is a tiny punch hole that accommodates a 32MP selfie camera. Speaking of photography, the OnePlus 10 Pro have triple rear-facing cameras with a 48MP sensor taking the lead.

The secondary is a 50MP ultra-wide camera and the tertiary an 8MP telephoto camera with 3.3X optical zoom. The cameras carry Hasselblad signature. Other features include in-display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and noise-cancelling mics. The smartphone has dual SIM slot, both with 5G supports.

The device boots Android 12-based ColorOS 12 out-of-the-box in China, but the global model will run OxygenOS 12.
