OPPO A16K budget smartphone arrives to India

OPPO A16K

The OPPO A16K initially launched in some part of the Asia market last year, but today, it has officially come to India. It is a budget smartphone made for basic mobile users that are not into gaming and other things alike, which means you can't expect much from it.

It features a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD screen with waterdrop notch that host a 5MP selfie camera. The refresh rate of the display is 60Hz, which is the usual you'll get in this price range. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protect the screen, and the overall screen-to-body ratio is 89.27%.

Let's dive in, under the hood is a MediaTek Helio G35 that is running at a speed of 2.3GHz, paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. In case you don't know, the chipset is 12nm, so it's not modern. There is 3GB RAM and 32GB storage onboard, but the later can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

At the rear of the OPPO A16K is a single 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture, accompanied by a LED flash. The camera record Full HD (1080p) videos and nothing more than that. The is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics, and a 3.5mm audio jack that act as an antenna for the built-in FM radio.

The smartphone is powered by a 4,230mAh battery, but it lacks fast charging. Connectivity present are 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi dual band, GPS, and micro USB. It runs Android 11 with ColorOS 11.1 on top and supports dual SIM functionality with dual standby.
