OPPO A36 launches with Snapdragon 680 chipset without 5G supports


OPPO quietly unveiled a new smartphone today in China called A36. The device is a mid-range 4G smartphone that has a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate, but it does not have any glass protection. It weigh 185 grams and is 8.4mm thick.

The phone boots Android 11 out-of-the-box buttered with the firm's proprietary ColorOS. Powering the whole system is Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G octa-core chipset, clubbed with 8GB of RAM.

Storage is offered in only one option, which is 256GB, although we are not quite sure if a microSD expansion slot is provided because that piece of information is missing in the press release.

In photography, the OPPO A36 sports a 13MP rear snapper, accompanied by a 2MP depth camera. At the front of the smartphone resides an 8MP selfie camera that can only record 1080p videos just as the one at the back.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the A36 supports Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, WiFi 802.11ac, GPS, and USB Type-C. It also have 3.5mm audio jack. It rely on a 5,000mAh battery for power.
