Vivo V23 Pro 5G, V23 5G debuts with Dimensity chipsets and 90Hz AMOLED screens

The first Vivo smartphones to be launched in the year 2022 are V23 5G and V23 Pro 5G, both of which were announced earlier today. The unveiling happened in India, and it is the region that will be getting the device first later this month.

The V23 Pro is a flagship killer considering the specs and the features it brings along. It has a 6.56-inch curved AMOLED screen that refreshes at 90Hz, boasting a Full HD+ resolution with HDR10+ supports. At the helm is a Dimensity 1200-AI 6nm processor clocked at 3GHz.

8GB and 12GB are the RAM options, while the storage is also offered in 128GB and 256GB options. The V23 Pro 5G housed triple cameras at the back with 108MP camera taking the lead, followed by 8MP ultra-wide angle and 2MP macro cameras.

Dual selfie camera setup exist at the front in 50MP+8MP configuration, accompanied by dual-tone LED flash. The front and rear cameras can record videos in 4K resolution. The Vivo V23 Pro 5G misses microSD slot and 3.5mm headphones jack, which is becoming a norm these days.

Security is provided by an in-display fingerprint sensor, although it also supports face unlock. The smartphone packed a 4300mAh battery and also supports 44W fast charging.

The V23 5G has a smaller 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen that also supports 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The processor that powered this one is Dimensity 920, but the RAM and storage options remain the same with the Pro model.

The phone have triple cameras at the back too, however, a 64MP snapper takes the lead in here while the others remain the same. The V23 5G selfie setup is also the same as the V23 Pro 5G. It packed a slightly smaller 4200mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

Apart from the aforementioned differences, other specs are completely the same.

The 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB versions of the V23 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 38,990 (US$507) and Rs 43,990 (US$572), while the 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB versions of the vanilla V23 5G costs Rs 29,990 (US$390) and Rs 34,990 (US$455), respectively. These come in Stardust Black and Sunshine Gold colors.

The former will be available from January 13th, while the latter will go on sale on January 19th at Vivo stores and all authorize retail stores across India. Pre-book is open from today.
