IQOO Z6 5G

The latest offering by IQOO is Z6, which is a 5G-capable smartphone that is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset. The device was unveiled in India today, and it is expected to go on sale on March 22nd on Amazon and at other select retail outlets.

The Z6 runs Funtouch OS 12 that is based on Android 12 out-of-the-box. It has dedicated dual SIM slot and a microSD card slot to expand its internal storage. Speaking of the storage, there is 128GB storage onboard that is paired with up to 8GB of RAM.

The virtual RAM feature under the phone settings let users add up to 4GB additional RAM to expand the physical RAM. At the front is a 6.58-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The display refreshes at 120Hz, and it also supports 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Sitting at the back of the IQOO Z6 are 50MP (f/1.8) main, 2MP (f/2.4) depth, and 2MP (f/2.4) macro cameras for photography, while a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera can be found at the front inside the notch above the display. Video recording is restricted to FHD (1080p @30fps) using the cameras.

Biometric security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, although there is a 2D face unlock option under security settings to unlock the phone as well. Other connectivity that are available on the smartphone apart from 5G are Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (dual band), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, 3.5mm headphones jack, and USB-C port.

The device measures 164×75.84×8.25mm and weigh 185 grams, mainly because it has a plastic body, and because it packed a 5000mAh battery behind. The battery can be fast-charge using the 18W charger that is provided in the retail box. You'll be able to pick one in Dynamite Black or Chromatic Blue color.
