The POCO X4 Pro 5G is here with upgraded display and cameras

POCO X4 Pro 5G

The POCO X4 Pro 5G has been officially announced as expected. The smartphone is here to succeed last year POCO X3 Pro, which is one of the best flagship killers out there that money can buy. The question is, does the POCO X4 Pro 5G brings any improvement at all?

Well, we can't really say much about that. For one thing, you are not getting a flagship processor, although there have been improvements in display and camera departments. The new smartphone as a matter of fact drops the IPS LCD screen on its predecessor and embrace AMOLED, which can be consider as an upgrade.

Also, the main camera has been up from 48MP to 108MP (that's a lot), although the secondary cameras are nearly the same. However, the processor that powered the POCO X4 Pro 5G is Snapdragon 695, which is nothing but a downgrade compared to Snapdragon 860 that powered its predecessor.

The front selfie snapper has been lowered from 20MP to 16MP, and so also is the battery, which is now rated at 5000mAh (compared to 5160mAh on X3 Pro). The fast charging tech, however, has been improve from 33W to 67W, so the battery gets charged faster.

All in all, it is a mix of this and that, but you eventually get what you pay for. Gamers will want to hold on to the POCO X3 Pro because it has the raw power to run nearly every game you throw at it, something we don't expect from the Snapdragon 695.
