Motorola Edge 30 official: 144Hz OLED screen, stereo speakers, IP52 rating

Motorola Edge 30

The new Motorola Edge 30 is a powerful mid-end smartphone that is powered by Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. The chipset is gaining popularity lately as we witness other brands using it in the past few weeks. It is efficient and battery-friendly as it is based on a 6nm process.

The device also have an OLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate, which is quite more than what others offered within the same price range. The display supports HDR10+. At the back are triple cameras with the main having an optical image stabilization. The selfie camera is not bad either with its 32MP sensor.

Notably, both the front and the back cameras can record 4k videos. Although the Motorola Edge 30 lacks a 3.5mm jack, it pack two stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby Atmos for immersive experience. It is splash resistant certified with IP52 rating, and its security is handled by an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The phone runs Android 12 OS, however, the firm did not reveal if it will be releasing OS updates in the future. But we can at least expect one major OS OTA update to make it to the device. The battery onboard is 4020mAh and it support 33W fast charging.
