Samsung unveiled Galaxy M53 5G with 108MP quad rear cameras

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G was made official earlier today after weeks of rumors and speculations. The device features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display and is powered by a Dimensity 900 6nm chipset, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is expandable via microSD card.

Like most of their recent phones, it runs Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out-of-the-box and we expect at least two years Android updates and four years security updates to be provided. The power button at the side double-up as a fingerprint sensor, and at the bottom is a USB Type-C port for charging, connectivity and audio, since it does not have a 3.5mm jack.

At the back resides quad cameras, with the main camera having a 108MP sensor. At the front is a 32MP camera for selfie. The battery that comes with the Galaxy M53 5G is 5,000mAh, which can be fast-charge using a 25W charger.

The firm is yet to reveal the pricing and availability information of the smartphone, but we expect the missing piece to be provided in the coming days.

Update (April 22, 2022)

Samsung today has introduced the smartphone in India and we now have its pricing information. The 6GB RAM version costs Rs 26,499 (US$345), while the 8GB RAM version is priced at Rs 28,499 (US$370). Sales will begin in India on April 29th.
