Huami announced Amazfit T-Rex 2 rugged smartwatch with 10ATM and 45 days battery life

Huami Amazfit has introduced its latest rugged smartwatch called T-Rex 2. As a successor to the T-Rex, it come with lots of improvements and it is made to last, while offering the best battery life compared to that of other brands in the market.

First and foremost, it is 10ATM rated and MIL-STD-810G checked and certified. What these mean are you can use it in almost any environment that nature may not be in agreement. It can withstand extreme high and low temperature and pressure, and it can survive impact and drop, not to talk of being usable deep under the water.

Let's talk about its features - the Amazfit T-Rex 2 has a lot of health features, including heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, stress and sleep monitoring, and VO2 Max. Women can track their menstrual cycle using the smartwatch as well. Apart from these, the device can also be used to track more than 150 (158 to be precise) different sports.

For accurate track and report, it has a BioTracker 3.0 PPG sensor that does all the work. Indoor and outdoor exercise tracking are greatly improved by the built-in dual-band GPS and five satellite positioning system that feed precise location and terrain data to the wearer.

The smartwatch has a circular 1.39-inch screen with HD (454x454 pixel) resolution. The display has a pixel density of 325PPI, and it can be customize with different watch faces available on the Zepp app. Moreover, it can reach 1000 nits peak brightness, making it easy to use outdoor.

The Zepp App, which can be installed on smartphone running Android 7.0+ or iOS 12.0+, let users view, analyze, and manage their health data that are synchronize from the smartwatch. Furthermore, through the app, users can perform system updates and enable some certain features such as Alarm Clock.

The Amazfit T-Rex 2 has a 500mAh battery - that is quite a lot compared to the 390mAh battery in the first generation. According to the firm, the battery can last for 24 days in normal usage and more than 2 days (58 hours to be precise) in GPS mode. When battery saver is turned on, it can deliver 45 days of usage time in a single charge.
