POCO C40 goes official: the first Xiaomi smartphone with JLQ processor

The new POCO C40 is an entry-level smartphone made for basic users that want Android at all cost without spending much. It supports 4G only, but since most markets are yet to adopt 5G, we do not see it as a drawback.

For the first time, Xiaomi POCO brand is opting for a processor made by a Shanghai-based tech company called JLQ. The JLQ JR510 octa-core chipset that powered the POCO C40 comes embedded with Mali-G57 MC1 GPU.

Dual cameras sit at the back, a 13MP main and a 2MP depth cameras, accompanied by a single LED flash. There is a 5MP selfie snapper at the front of the smartphone for taking selfie. As could be expected, these cameras support 1080p video recording only.
