Redmi K50i official in India with 144Hz screen, Dimensity 8100 chipset

Xiaomi today introduced the Redmi K50i, a distinct model made specifically for the India market. One of its notable features is its processor - a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset, which is capable of handling almost anything you throw at it. Furthermore, up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage are present.

The type of storage used for the Redmi K50i is UFS 3.1 and the type of RAM included is LPDDR5, for fast data transfer between apps operation and smooth multitasking experience. To minimize the heat that is likely to cause throttling, a vapor chamber with seven layers of graphite is implemented.

The smartphone has a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen that supports 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. According to Redmi, the phone display is the first of its kind to be certified with DisplayMate A+ ratings. It will be good to let you know that it also supports Dolby Vision and DC dimming.

Moving on, at the back of the Redmi K50i resides triple cameras. A 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor with an f/1.9 aperture takes the lead, followed by an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. At the front is a 16MP camera for taking selfie. It earns IP53 ratings for splash and dust resistant.

A side-mounted fingerprint reader takes care of biometrics, and there are stereo speakers onboard with Dolby Atmos enhancement. The device rely on a 5080mAh battery for power. This can be fast-charge using the 67W charger included in the retail box.

The phone is priced at Rs 25,999 (US$325) and Rs 28,999 (US$363) for the 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB versions, respectively. It will be available in Stealth Black, Quick Silver, and Phantom Blue colors when it go on sale in the region from July 23rd.
